About

Ever daydream about that perfect paintchip colour? Ever had a curbside find (after a little bit of elbow grease), climb the charts to hit number one on your list of favorite furniture pieces? Me too.

A lot of passion, and a little know-how has lead to a chronicle of our attempts to add a bit of character, and a personal stamp to our new construction home.

With a fantastic partner in crime, and never ending inspiration, the projects keep coming… and that’s a good thing! We’re doin’ our best to create some history in a home that started it’s days with us. We’re gonna try to do it proud.

Thanks so much Kate! I can tell you it is a Liz Claiborne fabric, I found at Fabricland (which is an end-of-the-bolt) fabric store. Hopefully you can have some luck in your neck of the woods finding it or something similar. All the best!

    Hi there,
couldn’t help but have a feeling that you might be from Canada? sorry if this is totally random. I just love meeting fellow Canadians through the bloggosphere.
I’m actually from Ottawa and just moving shortly into a Minto house, so I can relate to your drive to build a little style into a house that has 7 others just like it on the same street! :)
And the Superstore reference! I have half of the items in your post about the summer BBQ wares.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi and that I love your blog.

    Nat

Wow! What a wonderful transformation. It is great to find you on YHL and to hear about your future adoption. We adopted a baby girl last year and can tell you every second of your wait is well worth it. It is such an amazing journey – my prayers are with you!

I noticed you’ve been out of blogland for some time. You were one of the first blogs I followed and now Ihave started my own. Hopefully you come back to blogging soon though one might expect you are too busy enjoying your precious baby girl. Hope you are well!
