Our House
Here is my chance to share some of the hard work the hubby and I have been up to the last five years in our little chunk of paradise we’ve carved out for ourselves. Hopefully you enjoy the photos and maybe pick up a little inspiration here and there. If you have a space you’re proud of, please share a few low-res images by emailing here. Thanks for the visit!

Another new follower from YHL! So glad to find you and see a great new Canadian design blogger. I love your posts and everything that you have done to your home. Well done!
By the way, I’m just curious, where in Canada are you living?

Love your home. I should your color choice is the same as mine! My living area is also a soft gray however I have a chair rail so the top is white. Even the bedroom is the same color!

LOVE your blog, and your house and style! I live in SK and was super thrilled to find out you are a Canadian, proves to me that we DO have fun stores to shop in ! I LOVE the wallpaper behind your washer and dryer and love the sunburst mirror ( where did you find) and you have me SUPER excited to visit a Tin Box store!
I found your blog from the YHL one and am SO glad I stopped by!!!!!
16. freshcrush | July 6, 2010 at 12:04 pm
Thanks Kim! Isn’t YHL fantastic? If you like the pattern behind the washer/dryer, you’ll be happy to know it’s actually paint! Feel free to download my pattern here. The starburst mirror came from Homesense (love that store too!). If you have any tips and tricks of your own, don’t be shy to share on our facebook page!

I love your blog & am inspired…just wondering if you can give me a breakdown of the greys throughout your house? I am currently try to pick the perfect grey & love the look of the grey in your nursery… Thanks! :)
18. freshcrush | July 8, 2010 at 3:49 pm
Will do Sherilyn. I actually have to colour match one grey since its been there for 5 yrs and there is no record of it with me or my paint store’s computer (boo). But a couple readers have asked and I’ve promised to do a chip match and re-discover that beautiful colour!

Absolutely lovely home! So inspiring. On my own little journey at the moment as we’ve just purchased a home and you’ve provided some always-needed inspiration. I especially love the tree sillouette effect in the nursery! Great use of colour as well – I do love me some rich greys ;)

Love the wooden shelf above the fireplace. Looks like a piece of salvaged wood.

Hi ! Just checking in again! I havent tried the moroccan theme wall yet but its on my list! I LOVE what I have seen of your home, would you be willing to post a blueprint of your home online? We are in the process of building and I love gathering a ton of ideas and will hopefully mesh them into one space :) Thanks!

Love your home…I just painted my living room chelsea gray and i have the sam chair you do in your living room. The one with the scrolled arms in the corner near fireplace. Wondering what the fabric was..i need to get mine recovered. Thanks!
23. freshcrush | September 11, 2010 at 9:14 pm
Hi Denise. Thanks so much! The fabric on the armchair is the original. I had nothing to do with it. Upholstery grade creamy beige fabric — almost like a corduroy (slightly ribbed texture). Hope that helps in a teeny tiny way. Take care!
